How make Survival in PK:H&D more fun?
- date: November 4, 2012
Lag is terrible thing in multi, but exept that...
WHY survival work always with speed up x2? And after use of tarot cards speed x20. This need to be fixed. :/
Option to turn off dumb barrels.
Option to turn off Friendly Fire - Some of people do DM there.
Little mod - Only one random weapon every minute. Thats add some fun... I think.
Admin choose weapons to players before server start. Why not? Why collect weapons there? No point. Let us chose weapons. Only stakegun? No problem. 2 stakeguns? Ok. All weapons on start? Cool. This mode is for fun. Gieve us FUN, developers.
+ Optional: Unlimited ammo / only ammo crates for all weapons on level.
Mb choosing cards before start of server? Why not?
Option to limited respawns, or no respawns. Thats will be nice too.
Any other ideas?
GasLand or How To Make a Horror Film, Documentarystyle
- date: February 6, 2011
We've come to a point in history where documentaries are the horror movies of the year, cos they scare the living ♥♥♥♥ out of you. Last year I saw Earthlings (2005), which was so unnerving that I had to take breaks in watching it. I had to stand up and walk around, take deep breaths. And it's by far the most important documentary I've ever seen, but it's hard to convince people to watch it, cos most people can't handle the footage. Now I had the chance to see GasLand and pretty much the same thing happened. About an hour into it I had to take a break, because I was tearing up at that point. Watching this you can not help but feel immense anger, disgust and sadness - all at the same time. Emotionally draining is one way to put it.
There's no point in reviewing this, you just need to see it. Everyone needs to see it. Yes, it is well presented and personally the narration didn't bother me as it probably bothered some people, but none of that matters. It's a docu
The "how do I make electronic/club/DJ music" Megathread!
- date: March 7, 2008
With all the threads about how do I make X, I'm going to try to make a megathread with all the information I can compile. Hopefully, if the thread gets awesome enough, it can be stickied.
I'll try not to overlap too much from the home recording megathread, since it deals more with recording in general, and this deals specifically with electronic music. This thread isn't mean to be a perfect "this is how you make X", it's more meant to give enough of a direction that someone interested in making music could get a decent foundation to explore on their own.
This has been contributed to by many people, and as such, referring to "what I do" is a reference to the author of that given part.
The images provided are for reference only. I'm not endorsing any of these products specifically. Do your own research before you buy any gear. Or just ask here.
Anything with a is taken as a critical point for beginning. You pretty much have to at least have an understanding of these parts
How to shoot people and make them like it: The Portrait Photography Thread!
- date: July 15, 2009
Portrait photography is everywhere. Our lives usually revolve around other people, so it's no wonder that nearly everyone who picks up a camera will snap a photo of someone else.
And that person will probably hate the photo when they see it. It's a fact. At one time I had a newspaper clipping with statistics that claimed the vast majority of people hated to have their photo taken. A surprising number would rather visit the dentist than be a part of a family portrait.
We portrait photographers have our work cut out for us. Making other people look good isn't easy. Our subjects are fat, have skin problems, and probably don't even want to be here. Unlike still life photographers, we can't go shopping for that perfect apple, and unlike landscape photographers, we can't drive around the mountains until we find that perfect vista. We have to work with what we've got.
That's where this thread comes in. Portrait photographers, rejoice, for here is a repository of knowledge for you. Th
How come sony doesn't make video game movies?
- date: November 26, 2012
The producers would make sure it's like the games, they would take these movies seriously. They already have the rights to twisted metal, uncharted, infamous, jak, ratchet, and all these amazing properties for free.
Why haven't they jumped on this?

How would you make pokemon better?
- date: March 24, 2009
ok, lets pretend the dev team comes to you and gives you the choice to make one change to pokemon games to make them better, it could be as small as making the sprites 3d-ish (something like Street fighter 3) or as major as a completely new idea instead of the elite 4 (also just another example and not what I'd do ).
So, what would yours be?
Personally, mine would be to give the player the choice to start his trainer adventure from the start inside the same file. In other words, you've done all the Team whichever battles, stopped them from taking over the world, you put all your high level pokemon into a special storage place, get a new starter, and go for the badges/ribbons again, only this time in any order you wish. This would also require all TMs to be restorable IE not just a single tm of one certain attack in the whole game. Then maybe once you've become champion again, you can access your pokes from your first playthrough.
Basically my idea is somewhat of a new game plus co
It pisses me off how my family always gets xmas presents from WalMart
- date: December 22, 2011
My stupid sister and alcoholic mom buy crap from walmart and give it as gifts. Because we want cheap, crap, from Wal-Mart that everyone else has? Last year I got that hot sauce set, that obviously is crap and of low quality. It would kill her to go to an actual grocery store and get a high quality hot sauce? Even one bottle of hot sauce is better than a whole giftbox full of crap ones. They always get lots of gifts, and useless crap instead of just getting a few good gifts that are of higher quality. Everything at walmart is of poor quality and cheap because they force starving chinese kids to make everything there for pennies an hour. Why in the hell does anyone go to the store to shop, instead of buying things online? It is much easier to shop on Amazon than it is to get in the freaking car, drive to a store, get out and walk around for hours, stand in the checkout line for another hour, wait for the 200 year old cashier to figure out how to work the cash register and ring up your it
How to make your Steam version of Aion work with Gameforge (EU only) Win7 64Bit
- date: March 28, 2012
This is a little and as simple as possible sollution for those that bought Aion true Steam before Ncsoft gave Aion to Gameforge.
Note: tested only on my own machine wich is running Windows 7 64bit version, if you got 32bit version or any other you might need to do it an slightly different away.
This solves following issues.
Make Steam launche the Gameforge launcher instead of the Ncsoft one.
Makes Steam overlay work ingame and keep track of you game time, like any other steam game you bought and you can chat with friend and surf the web with steam.
I tested it my self and working like intented.
Install and download Aion true Steam like you normaly do with Steam games.
Launche Aion once true steam, this makes you install Ncsoft launcher and run the game at least once so you sure everything works like it suppose to be before everything went to Gameforge.
Download Gameforge client, when it ask you
Tell me how to make an MMO
- date: October 16, 2009
I have absolutely no formal training in computers. I have used them almost my entire life, and have played MMORPGs for many years. However, I have an interest in making MMOs. I'm sure every gamer in their life says at one time or another, "drat I would love to make a video game." Most of the time they never do.
Well, what if someone was serious about taking that path in their life? Is knowing a programming language absolutely essential? What if I don't want to just be the guy who makes the character models, or questlines... what if I want to be the guy who thinks up the world of the MMO, the characters, their stories, the history of the MMO world, the classes, etc. Is that even possible or is that just a silly childish dream? I'm sure it takes an entire team to make an MMO, but say someone had an idea for a game they thought would be amazing. How would they get this out into the real world?
I assume that university is a must, but what would you take? How do you become the guy tha
