So who here plays Fantasy Football, and would you download an app on your 3DS for it?
- date: July 25, 2012
So first and foremost, who here plays fantasy football?
Yeah, I'm thinking of putting an IGN team together, just for a little fun, if there is an interest.
And secondly (and board related) for those who do like FF, do you think the 3DS could pull off a FF app? I think if ESPN or NFL.com backed it, it could be done pretty well. I know I (obviously) have a PC to manage my team, but I think it would be cool to chillax on the couch or in bed, checking stats, managing rosters, wavering, and just in general checking out news on the sport off the 3DS as well. It might even more convenient in some circumstances, where someone else is using the PC for instance. (You know those game-time decisions you have to make in minutes, put you have to boot someone off the PC to do it, lol!) And imagine if you could access highlights too!
So what do you think? Would you like to see a FF app, and what would you like to see in it?
Also, let me know if you are interested in starting an IGN 3DS e
Musberger & Herbstreit Are Always Wrong: The 2012 Rules of Football Thread
- date: July 25, 2012
Always, you hear me? Always.
The Rules of Football thread is now five years old! Five years since I first shared my knowledge with SA and people seemed to appreciate having someone to settle the argument about "how come they got the ball back when they didn't get it past the first down line?" Thing is, I often ended up getting caught up in these discussions and missing entire quarters while explaining PSK enforcement as it relates to the commentators being full of poo poo. So I decided "you know what? I bet a thread about this wouldn't be an entirely stupid idea", and I made one, and that went down pretty well, and I did another one, and that one went down pretty well too, and what do you know, we've been happily taking it out of our pants together ever since.
So this is where we talk about why Play X from the big game on Saturday got ruled the way it did, and where I dissect the rules in slightly more detail than anyone needs to kn

Dogs had to come from somewhere, right? This is the thread that talks about the ones closest to their point of origin - the wolf. The domesticated dog has been around for roughly 15,000 years, and has been used to help man in things from protection and hunting to companionship, beasts of burden, and meat/fur. Of course it’s hard to pin point exactly when wolf and man began working together, and exactly why, but it’s obvious that both sides had something to gain from the relationship. Taming the beasts also meant that subsequent offspring would become more tame with each generation, as well as showing different behaviors from their wolf ancestors, ones that would be more beneficial and pleasing to humans. Over time, behaviors as well as appearances would differ from the original wolf (a recent example would be the Domesticating of the Silver Fox project in Russia.) It wasn’t until later that aesthetics over function would be select
How are we going to clean up all the mess on this football field?

Pasco County School District officials didn't know what might happen when they agreed to allow Mitt Romney to rally at the Land O'Lakes High School football field a week ago.
The district had never hosted such a large event before.
Now 15,000 attendees and more than $25,000 in damage later, they plan to closely review their policies and procedures for future big draw activities. The district treated the rally as a simple facilities rental request.
The neverending Weekend Web thread for bad posts about football
- date: November 26, 2010
A lot of people in here are regulars or visitors on other football forums, or maybe read something insane in a comments section somehwere, but wherever you find your terrible posts about football please bring them back here for all of us to laugh at. If you don't want to be grassed up you can paste them unsourced, or if you want to bring attention to somewhere terrible you can do that too. I just ask that this thread remain for bad posts we can all laugh at. IT IS NOT FOR ARGUING ABOUT THE CONTENT. If the content doesn't seem insane enough to be funny to everyone in here, it's not funny enough to post. If it's sort of borderline it's just going to cause annoying slapfights when someone starts the "Well this post isn't that insane if you look at it in the context ofaaaaaaaaaaaa" who cares gently caress you.
find really really really bad/crazy/funny posts
post them here
keep your replies light and lmao heavy

its been said before, he owes nothing to Cleveland. did he need an hour long special, and no warning to the cleveland organization, to do so? probably not. but theres no reason to depict him as the devil for doing so. and lebron kept quiet for a while, people still went on him. so now hes just going back to doing him and not giving a damn.

In spite of the sanctimonious morality police trying their hardest to stop us all from blowing our hard earned (for 91.8% of Americans, and about 23% of Greeks) gold bullion on the sin that is gambling, the practice carries on. So with that in mind, lets all get rich together! Use this thread for all things betting on football. For all your other degenerate needs check out the other gambling thread (pro-tip: don't bet on baseball). Below you’re sure to find enormous amounts of bad reasoning and clouded judgment that will manifest itself as a Browns/Rams parlay we all regret two Bradford picks later. I want to believe, Sam!
I really can't make this point enough, so lets get it out there early ONLY BET WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO LOSE No one should lose their car on a Tim Tebow fumble so be please be a responsible degenerate.
Per usual, talk picks, bemone bad beats, and curse the name of Coby Fleener because why were you betting on the Colts in the first place? Please keep thing
