I was wondering why Saints Row The Third Was So Empty
- date: November 18, 2011
That's because it is!
cut Evil Cars and other cheats for paid DLC
cut Pimp Cane for paid DLC
no way to replay missions(There was a theater in SR2 that let you replay old missions)
no customizable walks
no phone numbers to call
no taxi warps
SR2 had way more buildings you could enter, a lot of cool hidden areas you could find and unique themed areas. Steelport is the same everywhere.
Just so much stuff that's been removed or just taken out that isn't even in those links. Like a proper day/night system or cutscene introductions to SR2's activities.
The one thing that SR3 does and should get complimented for, is the way the game plays. Shooting and melee is pretty damn fun. Too bad you can't change the fighting styles like you could in SR2.
Saints Row 2 vs Saints Row 3

I promise this is a hell of a lot more constructive and less ranty then 90% of what others have posted. This post is an excert from an article on my tumblr. To view the original format and to see the extra bits I decided to omit from this post see here. Actually I probably would recommend you go and see it there since I pretty much just copy/pasta'd and the end result isn't ideal.
This article will avoid spoilers where possible but I will warn you there may be some. Oh, and it is excessively long, so much so I’ve had to split into a two part series.
Both games are great, however many feel that there is less content in Saints Row: The Third than Saints Row 2. Also they feel that Volition are ‘Nickle and Diming’ their customers with paid DLC that they feel should have been in the game to begin with. This sadly is partially true. However the reasons behind it are somewhat of a mystery to most and they assume it’s just about profit.

Saints Row 2 Vs. Grand Theft Auto 4

Hey guys this may have been done before but I thought since I'm playing it I'd bring it up. I personally enjoy Saints Row 2 the most.
How is anyone still interested in Saints Row IV after seeing the GTA 5 trailers?

I have always loved both GTA and Saints Row. The artificial competition between them is somewhat contrived, especially at a time when there are plenty of other games following the formula. The reality is that Rockstar innovated a game type which, like platformers, first person shooters, adventure games, and many others before it, has been cloned, reinterpreted, and refined by numerous other developers. Not because they're "copying it," but simply because it's a great gameplay design and works well in a variety of settings. Look at Sleeping Dogs. No one calls that a GTA rip off, and with good reason. Similar design, very different experience. The same is true of Saints Row.
Now, with that said, after the horrible disappointment that I found Saints Row The Third to be, Volition are going to have do a lot to convince me that their first outing with a new publisher is worth my money and my time. I love the series, and its hilarious over the top antics and self-irreverence are a
Saints Row IV : Meet The President Trailer

Even though i'm not very hopeful for SR4 (I kinda wanted to see something like Sr2 be made with SR3 graphics, considering how the fanbase keeps gushing about 2), it looks likefun. But... i don't know. I'm sure i'll buy it though
This is coming from a guy who has about 100 hours on SR3. For me, SR3 was the LIMIT of insanity. And now IV is gonna top it, i'm sure. Not sure how i feel about it.

More like Saints Row 3.5, feel like it just looks like footage from 3. Personally I would have liked it if they just made it an expansion or spent more time making it a proper sequel

Now what I want to ask is that all the dlcs and extra stuff that are these in these editions worth it? What exactly is extra in them as comparison to the standard edition and is it worth getting them over standard editions considering I havent played the games before?
