Steam servers too busy when installing Defenders of Ardania
- date: March 14, 2012
so i fell for temptation of Defenders of Ardania on GamersGate last evening and downloaded over night. Now i have retail disk (in digital form from GG). I have manually activated CD key in steam with no problems.
Now why are servers too busy to let me install the game? I am not using the servers as i am not installing via Steam...
I tried to delete ClientRegistry.blob. I don't know why i did it since it never helped me to achieve solution for any problem and of course this was not an exception.
Steam Servers Are Too Busy To Process Your Request.
- date: July 22, 2011
All my games are working EXCEPT L4D2.
I don't understand?
I tried the link to see what I could do about the 'busy servers', but none work.
I keep trying to open L4D2 and it says the servers are too busy!
I know there's an update, but...it shouldn't have lasted 6 hours of non-stop 'servers are too busy'.
So, I deleted it and tried to redownload.
Now, it's saying the servers are too busy to even DOWNLOAD the game!
I didn't waste my money for a game that Steam now refuses to work.
I'm really peeved.

[Edit] Thanks to LoomerA this should now be resolved.
We have normality. I repeat, we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem.
Just bought this in the bundle this morning and can't get it installed. I keep getting servers are too busy error regardless of which server I set Steam to use.
I had no problems installing DIRT and a couple others this morning, just can't get anywhere with F1.
Anyone else who just bought F1 having this issue too?

i cant believe that.
are they able to acess the banned.cfg via ftp or what?
i also have a rented server, i think its not possible that steam can unban them from "my" server, isnt it?!

Last week, while traveling, I took my computer with me so I could play online.
We went to Biloxi, MS to visit my wife's family for Thanksgiving. In the evenings my plan was to play COD:MW2 online.
When I last played MW2 I was a rank of 33. I worked hard the week prior to get to that level. As a 48 year old family man, I don't have all the time in the world to spend on the PC doing re-leveling and/or prestige. All I care about is leveling once and having the guns.
The first night I was able to play while at my hotel. The only difference was that my hotel NAT was set to STRICT, whereas my home is OPEN for the game. But I was able to play with no problems what-so-ever.
Just before I ended my night I had a crash. Seems my video cards were starving for some power. The very next day my power supply died. I replaced it with no problem and was up by the evening.
As soon as I logged on to multiplayer and pressed PLAY, I noticed my rank had been reset to one. I had lost everything. Upon som

Steam servers are too busy. Error 55. Halp
- date: August 15, 2012
Hello! I pre-ordered this game right before it came out, and it will not let me play it. When I click to start the game, a box saying "Completing installation" pops up and goes up to 1%.
Then I get a message that says "Steam servers are too busy to handle your request.error 55."
All my other games download fine, and I installed the service client. Can anyone help?
"Steam beta must be running to make use of Find Servers" Error Fix
- date: July 24, 2010
Since the last update, I don't seem to be able to use the find servers on the CS:S menu.
It says "Steam beta must be running to make use of Find Servers", but steam is running.
Tried restarting it and still no success, any ideas?
